To celebrate ten years of managing the Barnsbury Estate, Newlon Housing Trust recently built a brand new Community Hall for the residents to enjoy.

Residents living on the estate were consulted on the design of the hall, which has replaced the old Grimaldi Hall. It is now a one stop shop for residents for all estate based enquiries and contains a multi purpose hall providing modern resources for residents and community groups. Community groups can apply for a small grant from Newlon Fusion to help with these costs.

The new hall is a modern light filled community resource comprising of a large hall, a smaller hall (both with access to safe external space), toilets and baby changing facilities, kitchen opening up into both halls, reception area and courtyard. The centre is also home to the Barnsbury Youth Forum and other groups who offer classes in sewing, Pilates and ESOL (English for speakers of other languages).
