Newlon Eco Family wins prestigious National Housing Federation award!

Liz Folaranmi, mum of Newlon's Eco Family has been awarded a prestgious National Housing Federation (NHF) London Region 'What We Are Proud Of' award in the 'Most Outstanding Individual' category. Liz was up against some tough competition from other London based community regeneration projects so we are all really proud of Liz's achievement. Liz was presented with her certificate by David Orr, National Housing Federation, Chief Executive (pictured below).

The Eco-house project

This is a year long programme that involves the Newlon Eco Family receiving an energy make-over for their home, along with expert help and advice to help save money and the environment.The programme, involves the Eco family learning new skills, and using the free energy efficiency devices, so that they become more ‘green’ and save money on fuel and energy bills.

By taking part in the programme, Newlon’s Eco Family (Liz, Monique and Micaela of Hackney), are setting an example to other Newlon residents to follow in their green footsteps.

Newlon Fusion is working with Groundwork North London to help you save money on your gas and electricity bills. An Energy Doctor can make a one off visit to your home to give you energy saving ideas that focus on heating, lighting, waste and water use, which will save you money.
